Phân loại gọng kính theo chất liệu

Gọng kính bằng kim loại

- Stainless steel
Đây là một loại thép không gỉ, trọng lượng nhẹ, nồng độ độc tố thấp và khá cứng. Loại kim loại này được sử dụng khá nhiều do giá thành khá rẻ. Tuy nhiên vẫn phải trộn thêm một số chất phụ gia trong sản xuất để hạn chế sự ăn mòn hay ảnh hưởng từ nhiệt độ cao.
- Flexon
Flexon là một dạng hợp kim của Titanium. Do có tính đàn hồi rất cao nên những chiếc gọng kính được làm từ Flexon thường khó bị uốn cong. Chất liệu này cũng khá nhẹ, ít bị ăn mòn.
- Nhôm (Aluminum)
Nhôm có trọng lượng rất nhẹ, ít khả năng bị ăn mòn và độ dẻo cao. Để gọng kính thêm phần chắc chắn thì người ta thường pha thêm Silicon và sắt vào khi sản xuất gọng kính.
- Beta Titanium
Beta Titanium là hợp kim của Titanium, có đặc điểm ít bị han gỉ và nhẹ hơn cả Titanium và cũng không gây kích ứng cho da.
Ưu điểm của gọng kính kim loại
- Gọng kính kim loại mang lại vẻ đẹp sang trọng, tinh tế và sành điệu
- Độ bền cao: rõ ràng chất liệu kim loại bền và chắc hơn chất liệu nhựa
- Không gây ra cảm giác nặng nề
- Khả năng chịu nhiệt tốt: trong các môi trường nhiệt độ cao thì khả năng chịu nhiệt của kính kim loại tốt hơn so với kính gọng nhựa
Nhược điểm của gọng kim loại
- Dễ bị tróc sơn, ăn mòn, đặc biệt là ở người hay ra mồ hôi
- Không phù hợp với một số người có da nhạy cảm
- Kém linh hoạt về độ đàn hồi và sự uốn cong so với kính gọng nhựa

Gọng kính bằng nhựa
Chắc hẳn nghe đến gọng kính bằng nhựa là bạn sẽ nghĩ ngay đến những chiếc gọng kính mỏng, nhẹ và dễ gãy đúng không? Tuy nhiên hiện nay chất lượng gọng kính tại các cửa hàng đã được cải thiện hơn rất nhiều.
Dưới đây là các loại nhựa thường được sử dụng để sản xuất gọng kính đeo:
- Nhựa Acetate: (hay còn gọi là cellulose acetate) là một loại nhựa tổng hợp có tính bền và dẻo. Nó được sử dụng rộng rãi trong làm gọng kính thời trang vì có khả năng tạo nên các mẫu mã, màu sắc và hoa văn đa dạng. Nhựa acetate cũng có tính linh hoạt, dễ dàng điều chỉnh khi đeo.
- Polycarbonate: Polycarbonate là một loại nhựa cao cấp, đặc biệt phổ biến trong sản xuất gọng kính chống va đập và an toàn. Nó có độ bền và khả năng chống trầy xước tốt, đồng thời trọng lượng cũng khá nhẹ, là lựa chọn ưu tiên trong sản xuất gọng kính trẻ em.
- Nhựa TR-90: TR-90 là một loại hợp chất nhựa nylon cao cấp, có đặc tính bền bỉ và tính linh hoạt cao. Gọng kính làm từ nhựa TR-90 thường nhẹ nhàng, chống chịu va đập tốt và khá thoải mái khi đeo.
- Nhựa Zylonite (Zyl): Zyl, hay còn gọi là cellulose acetate propionate (CAP), là một loại nhựa tổng hợp có tính linh hoạt và dễ dàng tạo hình. Gọng kính bằng Zyl thường có màu sắc đa dạng và là lựa chọn thú vị cho những người thích phong cách nghệ sĩ hoặc vintage.
